Modify Computer Monitor Settings Using ControlMyMonitor For Windows
It allows you to view and modify the settings of your monitor, like brightness, contrast, sharpness, red/green/blue color balance and more. You can modify the monitor settings from the graphical user interface (GUI) and from command-line. You can also export all settings of your monitor into a configuration file for later use to easily return to these settings.

One BIG caveat about changing inputs using ControlMyMonitor: This can only be used by the computer that is CURRENTLY displaying to the monitor! After I change the input from my desktop to my laptop, my desktop can no longer see that monitor! I have to perform the same process with ControlMyMonitor from my laptop in order to avoid manually switching as before.
Backup option: It's not common, but using a normal USB port (preferably USB 3.0, which is colored blue) and an adapter or docking station can allow you to connect to a monitor, and then adapt that USB connection to any of the previously mentioned types. This is typically not used as the first monitor for the computer, though. And depending on the hardware used, this type of connection may put some additional strain on the computer or exceed the maximum amount of monitors the computer can use simultaneously.
Click "System and Security." Beneath "Power Options," you'll see several options. To change your sleep settings, click the "Change When the Computer Sleeps" link. You will see four options: when to dim the display, when to turn off the display, when to put the computer to sleep and how bright the screen should be. If you're using a laptop, you'll have both "On Battery" and "Plugged In" options.
NOTE: The RESET function will not be accessible if the MENU LOCK feature has been enabled. If this is the case, disable the MENU LOCK feature .On the front of the monitor, press the MENU button. In the MENU window, press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW buttons to select the RESET icon. Press the OK button.
